Immigrant Visas
Traveling to the U.S. permanently on a visa is a complex and difficult thing to do. This process can take years and requires dealing with multiple government agencies and departments. We have helped people from countries all over the world to make the U.S. their permanent home and we want to help you and your family too.
Naturalization
While some find the process fast and easy to become a US citizen, others with criminal histories, problems with taxes, problems with past criminal records, unpaid child support and other issues may find the process to be harder. Great news, I have helped countless people with these and other issues to accomplish their goals of becoming U.S. citizens. Let us help you take that final step!
Adjustment of Status
There are several ways to apply for Adjustment of Status or Lawful Permanent Residence in the U.S.. One of the most common ways is through a family member or employer. While I have helped many immigrants achieve lawful status in the U.S. through their family or employer, I have also helped many others to get lawful status granted by an Immigration Judge. Whether at U.S.C.I.S. or at the Immigration Court, James Derden Law can help you to navigate the difficult and unfamiliar path to lawful status.
Non-Immigrant Visas
Whether you are seeking to work in the U.S., to tour all the great things the US has to offer, or on a short holiday; we can help you to put forth the strongest application to ensure that you have done all you can to get the visa you seek. We are here to help – from document collection and gathering, to preparing forms, to advising you through all aspects of the process.
Deportation Defense
Following an arrest by Customs and Border Patrol or Immigration Customs Enforcement, you will be given a Notice to Appear in Court. This is where James Derden Law can help. Whether it is Cancellation of Removal for green card holders and non-green card holders, an asylum case, or withholding of removal case – we are familiar with all available immigration defenses and can help you to find that option that best serves you and your family. We will help you prepare a defense, gather evidence and witnesses in support of your case, and prepare and file any needed documents. We have helped countless people to fight or stop their deportation or removal and live legally and safely in the U.S..
Bond Requests
When a friend or family member is arrested by immigration officials, it can be very scary. Most people panic and do not know what to do to help. Sometimes immigrants end up here because they were arrested by the state or local police first for a crime, then it was discovered they have no status to be in the U.S.. You will need to seek a bond to be released, and if it is denied, you will be sent to see the Immigration Judge. I have assisted many people gain their freedom while they fight to stay in the U.S. and we are ready to fight for you!
